AgentSmith

Your agent's finance tools

Your agent can look up stocks, compare companies, value a business, check your portfolio and build the spreadsheet or slide deck for you. You ask in the same chat you already use, in plain words, and there's nothing to install or set up.

How it works

You send one message. Your agent picks the right tool, gathers the numbers, does the work and replies in the same chat.

Small questions get a short reply. You only get a file when you ask for a model, a table you want to keep, or a deck.

What you can ask for

Each card is one kind of job. The lines in blue are things you can send exactly as written, with your own stock names.

Prices and charts

Today's price, the move over a week or a year, the 52-week high and low, dividends and crypto.

  • What's DBS trading at?
  • How has Tesla done this year?
Chat answer

Compare companies

Even more with browser access

On its own, your agent only sees public data. Once you connect browser access, it can also work inside your own Chrome or Edge, on the sites you're already signed in to. That means your broker, your statements and any research site you pay for, so the analysis runs on your real numbers.

Your passwords stay in your browser. The agent sees the pages you're signed in to while the browser is open and connected, and you can watch it work in the tab.

Check-up from your real holdings

It reads the portfolio page at your broker, so you don't have to screenshot or type anything in.

  • Open my moomoo portfolio and give me a check-up
  • Put my Interactive Brokers positions into a spreadsheet

Statements into numbers

It downloads the statement from your bank or CDP account and turns it into a table it can reconcile or summarise.

  • Download my September CDP statement and reconcile it with my sheet
  • Sort this month's card spending into categories

Research you already pay for

If you subscribe to Morningstar, TradingView or a broker's research, it can read those pages and add them to its analysis.

  • Pull Morningstar's fair value for DBS and add it to the comparison
  • What do the indicators on my TradingView chart say?

Sites that need clicking through

Listings, filters and tables that a plain web search can't reach, such as property portals and exchange filings.

  • Find 3-bedroom condos in Bishan under S$1.8m and compare price per square foot
  • Go through this week's SGX announcements for my stocks

Switching it on

  1. Install the free BrowserSkill extension in Chrome or Edge.
  2. In your Command Center, open Chat, then Browser access, and press Get pairing link.
  3. Paste the link into the extension. It takes about three minutes the first time.

Naming stocks

A company name usually works. If it picks the wrong company, give the ticker with the market's ending.

Where the numbers come from

What it uses

  • Yahoo Finance for prices, history, dividends and company accounts
  • The web for news, annual reports, exchange announcements and analyst targets
  • Anything you send it: screenshots, PDFs, spreadsheets, broker statements
  • Your own assumptions, which it labels as assumptions

What it doesn't do

  • It doesn't place trades or move money, and you shouldn't ask it to, even with browser access
  • It isn't a licensed adviser, so treat its view as analysis to think with
  • Prices aren't live trading quotes and can trail the market
  • It has no paid data of its own (Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ), but with browser access it can read research you subscribe to

Getting the best out of it

  1. Say what you want back."As a spreadsheet" or "as slides" gets you a file. Without that you get a reply in the chat.

  2. Give it your numbers when you have them.A screenshot of your holdings or your company's accounts beats public data every time.

  3. Change the assumptions out loud."Redo it with 2% growth" or "use a 10% discount rate" updates the model and sends a new file.

  4. Ask where a number came from.It can tell you the source of any figure. If something looks wrong, say so and it will check.

  5. Make it regular."Every weekday at 8am, send me a note on my stocks" sets up a standing report in your chat.

If something goes wrong

The file didn't arrive
Ask "send the file again". If it still doesn't come through, tell us and we'll look at it.
It picked the wrong company
Use the ticker from the table above, for example D05.SI instead of "DBS".
A number looks off
Ask "where did that number come from?" Yahoo sometimes lags for smaller stocks, so send it the figure from the annual report and it will use yours.
It's taking a while
A full model can take a few minutes. A price check should come back in seconds.
